Are you just looking to linearize? > Of course I can: But first--I agree with Susan & Jorge that a beginner's guide, for both Mac and Windows users, would be a welcome addition. I will look up Randy's messages, but OY! that will be a pain to find the info that I need... That said, here's where I stand with the process so far. I have gotten through page 4 of the 5-page "QuadToneRIP 2.5 Calibration" guide. I got the math right, but I had to figure out that to insert the values I had to first duplicate a profile in the Profiles>3800-UC folder and open it in a text editor. Okay--done that. (One question: Why did I have to change the N_OF_GRAY_PARTS value from 3 to 4?) Now what do I do with this new profile? Page 5 of this guide is completely unintelligible to me (and, believe me, I'm no dummy!) and I don't know if there is more to the process, or...? So what do I do with this new profile? Do I create an .icc file? If so, how? Does it get installed in any special manner? All of this seems to be way different than in the QuadTone RIP guide by Moore. Any directions for me? Thanks!
