Hi Alfredo,

I have not used Photo Rag Baryta. I did mean Fine Art Baryta and Photo Rag
Pearl. Hahnemuhle makes terrific papers but one has to wonder if they need
all of the different product names and offerings in their inventory. I am
sure number of different names and offerings give their product planning and
production people nightmares!

In my opinion, the Photo Rag Pearl and Fine Art Baryta are still neutral to
slighty cool papers. Even though I mentioned that Photo Rag Pearl is
slightly warmer, it is still on the cool side. Please remember that this
very dependent on what inks you are using and how your ink profile works. I
don't have direct experience with the 2200 and its UC so can't be of
assistance. Even if your preconfigured profile is slightly off, you can
modify your files to print well and apply that modification as a preset
curve in photoshop or lightroom.

Best of luck with your show..

Regards,

George

Hello George,
thanks a lot for your answer.
Just a clarification, when you say "Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Pearl and Fine Art
Baryta are very similar papers", I guess you do not refer to the Photo Rag
Baryta. What about this paper? I guess it is very close to the Fine Art
Baryta, right? What are the differences, if any?
Also, generally I prefer very slightly cool tones (really very slight); in
this case is it a must to go on the Baryta or the Pearl can still be an
option?
I am thinking to go on the Pearl because I found on the web that the coating
of HFAP and the HPRP is the same and the curves of the HFA are available in
this group (I am quite happy with them).
Am I wrong?
Opsss... I forgot to mention I use Epson 2100 (2200) and UC inks.
Thanks again!

Alfredo
