QTR SET UP

2009-05-05 by paussajim

I'm looking for where I might have made a mistake in the initial set after I downloaded the QTR software. I assume I can use an included paper profile and begin printing but I can't access any curves.

Printer Epson 4000
QTR 2.6.2
G4 running 10.4.11
PS CS2

QTR is installed in applications and I went under "Profiles" to 4000 UC and ran the "Install 4000" command. I then dropped the text files for the Illuminata paper that I'm using on to the create ICC program. I moved that profile in with all of my other profiles (Library/Color Sync/Profiles

I followed everything I could in the QTR Tutorial. I assume I don't have to make a custom profile at this point.
File is grayscale/TIFF
The printer is USB connected
Color Management:
Page Setup: Printer is Quad4000 and paper is Letter Centered
Let PS determine colors
Profile: QTR_UCmk IPhoto Rag

2nd window of print preview:
I can choose" Mode-QuadTone Rip" and this is the point where I can't access the curves that are in this window.

I guess I'm trying to figure out where I might have missed something. Thanks in advance.
