If so I would try re-installing again. My memory on Tiger is a little hazy but I think the Epson portion of the driver is close enough to the Leapord version for government work. It sounds like things are OK. When you ran the Install 4000-UC command were all of the txt versions of all the profiles(curves) in that same folder including the The illuminata alpha smooth, assuming that is the paper you are using. > > I'm a bit confused by your post as well. Did you print a stepwedge through the illuminata profile with QTR to get the text file for the ICC profile but now you are unable to print through QTR. You can try using the QTR_Gray_matte_paper profile and see if that works. That would normally be the profile (curve) you use in order to print a stepwedge through QTR to get the txt file to build the ICC profile for softproofing. > Robert- There are no curves to choose from. I didn't print a stepwedge etc. I only read the tutorial. I don't see where it mentions doing anything with stepwedges or creating profiles. I did end up doing a re install. Nothing changed. Maybe I just need instructions on how to use the software, ie. making a profile if that's what I'm supposed to do. Am I missing some pages from the tutorial? Anyway, I have a folder of text files for all kinds of papers in my 4000 UC folder. I just don't know what to do with them, I guess. If you can point me to any basic instructions that would be appreciated. JP
