QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hi there--I am having great luck with David's .quad files for the Epson 1400 and UT-14 inkset, and want to try to make a few for neutral prints as well--about the degree of warmth you'd get from the BO settings.  But I can't open these files in Curve Creator--I change the extension to .qidf, then try to open the file from CC, but all I get is error messages: "Error in ink description at line X-> '0'" over and over again, then "Too many errors in ink description," and it won't open for editing.

If anyone can help me out, that would be great.  I like the BO method and will probably use it often, but would love a neutral curve for matte paper so that I can use the whole inkset sometimes as well.  Alternately, if somebody can just generate some neutral curves for David's set, I would be overjoyed...I am in danger of getting lost in the details here and just want to print!
