Sorry to have started some confusion. QTR is all in 32-bit. Many OSX programs are now 64-bit and won't work as 64-bit with QTR. They can however be changed to 32bit with the Get Info command. None of this however is going to get around the permission issue that is stopping Photoshop from working.
