Hi Bruce,

Yes that clarifies. I always use the black only for the first step and ignore the others. That one is the most critical as its load determines Dmax on one hand but it is also the one most likely to be overloaded. Most likley you'll find that the black saturates already at a lower level then the other inks. Using a higher ink load based on the other inks would overload the black
