QTR-Quadtone RIP

This is wired...I use a 1400 with UT14 MIS inks. Print with QTR and curves for the EEM paper (for matte papers) and a curve downloaded from the files section of this group (if I remember right) for the Ilford Baryta paper. The 6th cartrdige contains GLOP and it`s supposed to be used only for glossy papers. But it`s level goes down, either if I print on matte or glossy paper. 
Why? Any ideas? Is it really applying the GLOP or just throwing it awai in the waste pad?
