QTR-Quadtone RIP

I'm trying to use QTR with Epson R2880 and I get a problem with QTR Placement controls when using 
Manual Roll (Rear) paper feed.  Centered and Top controls don't have any affect on the 
printer, so it starts printing at the very top edge, sometimes even cutting off top of 
the image (depending on the image size).  

The maximum image hight is about 7.5 inches that can be printed on 8.5x11 paper without 
being truncated (portret orientation). Even the Calibration Mode target used to determine 
ink crossover with Centered box checked prints about 0.5 inch from the top edge.  I tried 
QTR with two different R2880s and got the same result.
 
When I use Sheet Feed as a Source in QTR and feed paper through the top of the printer feeder, 
then Placement seems to work without any problems.  I'm using QTR on 32-bit Vista Home Premium.  

Any suggestions?
