I highly recommend every B&W printer learn to linearize QTR profiles. Along that line, I tried Roy's new QTR StepWedge tool with a digital camera as opposed to a scanner, and it appeared to give the same results. So, as long as you have CS3 or 4, there are several routes to linearizing profiles. With the camera I just made sure there were no reflections off the glossy test strips, the target was within the central part of a moderate telephoto, and a small aperture was used to minimize light falloff. If you don't have a spectro, CS3 or CS4, my more manual way to linearize is at http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Making_B-W_ICCs-GrayCard.pdf > I saw in your "readme" that "Matte paper type is always > used on the QTR settings.." Yes, I think that is standard QTR practice. > --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "pr_roark" <roark.paul@> wrote: > > > >... > > I once made some for the 260 that might work with your setup.
