QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hi Bob,

On the 3800 (and 3880) printer the Epson driver has limited the maximum
length of print to 37 inches -- mainly because it does not have any
support for roll paper.   The guts of the printer however do not really
restrict the length.

So for QTR I've allowed prints up to 128 inches.  I've personally do
prints as long as about 72 inches but in principal there's no reason you
couldn't do 128 inches.  The hassle is you need to carefully cut a
sheet from a roll the exact length that you want.  The leading edge
must have a nice square edge since the printer will be checking this.
You need to feed the paper into the back slot and hand hold the rest as
it prints.  It works fairly easily as long as you are careful.

When using ICC profiles you must use them specifically with the
driver and settings that they were made for.  So the ones you get from
Epson are only for Epson driver color printing.   They do not provide
any for ABW mode.  The ones from Eric Chan are only for ABW.
And finally for QTR you can only use ones provided in QTR or
ones created with QTR-Create-ICC and using the QTR driver.
