Re: QuadtoneRIP, Epson 3800, and maximum print length & paper ICC profiles

2010-04-06 by RParker124

Roy,
Thank you for this your helpful response. I appreciate the explanation of why Epson limited the maximum length of paper and that the engine is capable of more.

Thanks for the info about the ICC profiles too. It confirmed what I had experimented with yesterday. I ran some 8.5x11 experiments yesterday with the QTR_Gray_Photo_Paper profile for Hanehmule Fine Art Baryta using the PR Baryta profile and Museo Silver Rag with the Museo Silver Rag profiles for neutral, cool, and warm tones, and came out with some beautiful prints. Now I can settle on Museo Siver Rag for my panoramics and play with curves for print appearance, and paper lengths for proper print dimensions. I plan to cut carefully and squarely

I am not technically oriented, so are there any plans out there to create profiles or curves for Epson Exhibition Fiber paper for QTR?

I'm excited about being able to make the QTR work for my long prints!

Thanks again,

Bob
