There is a problem in that CreateICC profiles are not being applied to the image data as it gets to QTR. Seems like a CS5 problem although I haven't tested it in CS5/10.5.8 So far I have had no replies to my own queries on the subject. Further tests by other printers might be in order? I am running a MacPro with an Epson 1400 and the software shown in the subject line. Since upgrading to CS5 my prints on matte paper (with the QTR icc) have seemed to be fine, but I just tried printing on glossy paper using a profile that I built some months ago - it was working fine until either / both of my updates to Photoshop CS5 and OSX 10.6.4. > > On glossy paper I get weird posterization of midtones and incorrect midtones when I print with the QTR RGB icc (the source photo is in ProPhoto RGB). I also tried printing from ImageNest, in case CS5 was the problem, but I get the same symptoms. > > The odd thing is that the matte paper prints seem to be fine (although I will need to go over them with a fine-tooth comb to be sure...). > > Is this a fatal problem with OSX? > > Many thanks for your attention, > Kirk > Walker Blackwell 802.821.4451 www.walkerblackwell.com aim: greendirtblues wblackwell@...
