I play with the ink limits until I get a white in the first square and a black in the last square...with a reasonable progression of tones in between. Then I use ChartThrob to create a linearization curve for the profile.
I used a R260 for cyanotype negatives on pictorico, which uses the same inks as the 1400.. I have since purchased a R2880 and have not yet created any profiles.

Subject: [QuadtoneRIP] QTR using Piezography inks on Pictorico
I'm new to this. With an Epson 1400 loaded with K6 piezography inks and QTR, I'm planning to print digital negatives on Pictorico OHP. Can someone lead me to help in coming up with either a strategy for determining the best curves or, at least, examples of either setups or how to go about setting up curves on QTR. Does anyone already have curves that they're willing to share? Thanks.
