QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hi, I'm just starting out with home processing - bought the printer and after reading all the reviews just bought QTR. 

I already have Epson Glossy paper so I'd like to use what I have to test the QTR. I certainly don't intend with my level of knowledge to create a curve for this paper. If needs be I'll have to buy Epson 
Enhanced Matte to do the testing.

A further question - the preset papers for the R2880 (Ultrachrome)show 'raw' profiles. How do I use these - I cannot find any reference in the forum and it's not clear from the guides.
