Terry,

So you can manipulate quad file values directly in excel or another
spreadsheet (Opencalc for example).  This actually gives you greater control
than you get with a QIDF file as you control the ink curve data directly
rather than through the QIDF descriptor.

I do this to linearize QUAD files for different papers.

If you just want to view the curves you can do that in QTR print app by
selecting the quad file as though you were going to print with it and then
right click on it to display its ink curve graph.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
