There is no write up - but it's really simple.
Each ink channel is a list of 256 values one for each 8 bit Gray value (0
-255).
Each of these values represents the amount of ink that is put down from that
channel for a given Gray value.
The ink values are 16 bit i.e. the max value is  65536 = 100 on the graph.

That's it - really really simple. Change the ink value for a given Gray
value and the RIP puts a more (or less) ink from that channel for that Gray
value

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
