QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hi There,
I am exploring Bulk UT ink or Cone K6 for the Epson 9500.
I have  successfully connected to the printer using a Windows XP machine, your Quad 9500-K6 printer model and (original colour inks).  
I wanted to make sure that the printer was working properly before I switched out the ink.
Is there a UT model available for the 9500 or do I have to use the K6 inks. They are more than twice the price. If I go to the UT inks I will need to
use Paul Roark's workflow.
