Yes, I used several different setups on my 7500.

First, I'm a fan of 100% carbon pigment inksets.  The Eboni-6 or Carbon-6
inksets work well on the 7500/9500 with the caveat that the carts need to be
agitated, and I think the only efficient way of doing that with old
(pre-7600) models is to use the funnel fill carts and "agitate" the ink via
a syringe into the tank.

Note that blended color carbon inks also settle and separate.  That is why I
stopped using the blended MIS blended inks in my 7500.

color change due to separation can take place.  The 4K+ approach that I went
to avoids blended inks and is stable.  It gives full color tone control and
is matte and glossy paper compatible.

The K4+ approach uses 4 carbons (glossy MIS PK, LK, and LLK + Eboni MK)
 plus LM and LC.  I used the Epson LM to avoid the faster fade of third
party color inks.   Whether the third party LC is OK is an open question.
 My tests showed it to be OK; Aardengurg Imaging tests show MIS C to be
weak.  Today I might use HP or Epson for both of the color positions.  Note
that I diluted the LC 50%.  The LC dots will show on close inspection with
the 7500/9500 unless it is diluted 50%.  If MIS LC is used, use glop to
dilute it.  If Epson or HP LC is used, the generic base described at
http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Ink-Mixing.pdf will work.  The generic base
will not dilute MIS glossy inks and keep them glossy because the base is
where the MIS inks get their glossy compatible characteristics.  With HP or
Epson the coating is the where the "glue" is.  As such, the generic base
works (so will MIS glop).

If you can deal with the near neutral to medium warm of Eboni-6, that is my

that the larger drops with the 7500/9500 produce more neutral prints.  With
Premier Art Smooth BW you can actually make a cool print with 100% carbon.
 But it's got OBAs in it that will cause the paper to warm.  Nonetheless,
that is most of what is on my wall at home.  They look terrific if you like
neutral/cool prints.

You can use either QTR or the Epson driver (best with an ICC made with QTR's
Create ICC-RGB) with this setup.  I have posted some profiles for the above
two approaches.
