QTR-Quadtone RIP

I actually ordered a 7880 in January but my dealer just told me epson germany (also delivering the netherlands) is out of stock. So I am thinking of buying the 7890, only if....

Is epson actually licensing this new ESC/P3 now instead of just give it?
