So, of it's xml it should load into a blank Excel ss without the help of any macros or preexisting templates. I thought another poster reported having to use a template he got over the internet.

It is an xml file, using the CxF version 2 doctype. It even validates 
correctly to the doctype.
xml doesn't have sub or supersets.
