Will do. I do all my B/W printing with the ABW driver since it gives a deeper black point and more linear response even in the absence of a profile or Photoshop curve. I've profiled three papers so far: Ilford Gold Fiber Silk, Museo Silver Rag, and Canson Plantine Fiber Rag (the three principal gloss papers I print on) and will do the matte papers in a couple of days. Reading the unadjusted patches (either 21 or 51 step) reveals a pretty good linear response with both papers with somewhat higher contrast in the midtones. I used the "dark" tone setting for all three papers (and this is also something I will need to go back and look at since most papers fall between the neutral & darker setting). --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, Catherine Costolo <mikes1mom@...> wrote: > > > I would like to hear about your results using QTR with the ABW driver. The three QTR utilities would not run in the folder that they were installed into. I don't know whether this is a Win7 issue or not (I'm the only user of my computer and the administrator). At any rate, I moved them to a dedicated ABW folder outside of the Quadton RIP file that is located in the Program Files folder and they run fine. > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > Yahoo!
