Hi, Mike. I'm printing from a Mac running 10.6.8 and printing from Photoshop CS5 12.0.4. Since the Adobe utility for printing targets does not support monochrome files, I'm using that trick of creating a null profile conversion during output to ensure no color transformation is affecting the target.
