Linearize or Not?

Will it make a big difference if I linearize the EB6-EpsHPn curve (or for that matter any other curve) to my 1400 printer?  I'm very happy with the results so far but am just curious.

Also, what's the "T" designation in EB6-EpsHPn-T?
