Bill and Bob, I've been on the road so haven't been able to really investigate the issue you guys are having. But from the discussion and some of the info you've sent me it looks to like processing a profile with an error of some sort will corrupt one of the internal files -- making everything inaccessible. I think the way to get things back is to use SysPrefs >> Print&Fax to select Quad3800 printer and then delete this printer. Then go back and re-run Install3800. Running this script is the key to setting up Quad printers correctly. In fact I use this rather than the Drop-Profile script. Just drag a copy of Install3800.command into your local folder and run that every time you want of process a profile. It installs any file with .txt .qidf or .quad in the local folder so you should have extra .txt files for example.
