copying curves

2012-06-14 by laanyc

I have a MAC which is partitioned into a MAC and Windows side. I used the QUI on the windows side to create a curve which was saved on the MAC desktop. In the same folder, I executed the Install.command, printed the step wedge and made a print. Looking at the print I decided that I needed to make a couple of changes. I duplicated the curve1.acv and curve1.qidf file in the desktop folder giving them new names, say curve2.acv and curve2.qidf. I modified the qidf file to point to the new curve and also changed the CURVE_NAME field. When I run the Install.command, I get ..../Desktop/qtr files/curve2.acv did not return valid coordinates at /Library/Printers/QTR/bin/quadprofile line 40. I also see "usage: qacv filename.acv curvenum > curve.out". What am I missing about curve creation? Is there something imbedded in the ACV file that I can't change when I do a copy?

thanks,....lyle
