Can't create an ICC profile

Can't create an ICC profile

2012-11-20 by john

I am a long time QTR user coming back to it (thank you Print Tool!!). I am trying to create a QTR icc profile. I have made many on windows machine, but now I am trying on a mac. I use a densitometer and enter my results in a text file. I have one column labeled gray which has the step values and another column (offset by 2 tabs) labeled Dens. I entered the values and dragged the resulting text file on to the QTR createicc applet. I have done it in finder, dragged it (the create icc app) to the desk top and done it there and anything else I could think of. I have tried to use both the gray and the rgb icc create applets. Nothing happens under any of these circumstances. As I understand it, I should get an icc profile and the text readout in the same location as the text file. I have even gone back to my windows machine and created a profile to confirm my working methods and numbers. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? I'm a little short on hair to begin with and can't afford to loose any more.
Thanks
Peter

Disregard. Problem solved using a properly formatted text file. Thank you all.
