QTR Print Tool and ICC profiles

2013-08-30 by SandyK

I am printing in color with the QTR Print Tool and an Epson 7800 and MAC 10.8.4.

The ICC profiles that were installed with the
7800 driver show up when I print with ColorSynch through the QTR Print Tool, and I am able to select and print with them.

I would like to add new ICC profiles for this printer to use with the QTR Print Tool but can not figure out how to do so. I located the micro-bundle of profiles that installed with the Epson 7800 driver at Library>Printers>Epson>InkjetPrinter2>ICCProfiles> Pro9800 7800.profiles but don't have any idea how to modify it.

Can anyone explain how I can modify the bundle and install a new profile?

Sandy

ICC profiles go in /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ or any folder included
there.
So you can create your own folder for your ICCs or just put them there.
(QTR has a sub-folder /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/QTR/ for it's ICCs)

Thanks for the reply. I had copied the new ICC profile to the /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ folder, but did not see it when I tried to select a profile. Turns out I just needed to scroll to the end of the files in that folder. I just found it!!
