QTR Print Tool Paper Size problem..

Hi,

I'm setting up a paper size for my Epson 7600 in QTR Print Tool, width 61cm (full roll width as I am using the 24" roll), and then I set the height to 35cm. For some reason the paper is in the end after cut from the printer, only 34cm high! I have had this several times now and first I thought it was my bad, second that the paper feed in the printer did something wrong, but now I am sure something is not quite right here.

It becomes quite a problem as I'm printing using Piezography for glossy prints, so I need to feed the cut sheet back to the printer for GO overcoating, and with 1cm missing, the margin the printer need for holding the sheet at the end of the sheet, is now gone...

Any ideas?

61cm is too large I.e. > 24in. Use 60.9 cm.

Roy,

There's no problems with the width here, but are you suggesting the height can get affected, 10mm, by sending a request for a 610mm print, instead of 610mm ... ??

Only the width is checked -- so that has to be 609 or less.
The issue is that if the width is too big the whole paper size is rejected
and the size reverts to letter size 8.5x11. With the extra margin that
roll paper cutting takes this probably gave you the 34mm length you saw.
In general you can have very long paper lengths - I think it was 15meters
for the 7600.
