Blending curves in QTR with different Ink Limits

Blending curves in QTR with different Ink Limits

2005-10-02 by Jamie Creed

does blending curves in QTR, which have different Ink Limits, present
any kind of problem, or does the program reconcile the whole thing OK.

I suppose QTR handles it just fine but I just want to make sure
before I get started on my little project of setting up the 6 main
papers I use with my inks of choice,

Jamie

This will not be a problem. If it were I think we would have noticed it by
now. Of course, I presume you are not planning any really exotic curve
combinations. It only makes sense to blend curves designed for the same
ink/paper combination.

The ink limit values are not directly stored in the .quad files anyway.

Tom

good to hear it will not be a problem; I'm just planning to blend
some carbon curves (with an Ink Limit of 90) with some neutral
curves (with an Ink Limit of 70) using the same ink/paper
combinations, nothing to exotic, but when I thought about it a
little alarm bell went off in my mind and I needed some expert
opinion on the matter, thanks for that,

Jamie
