Moderator - could you help me please

2013-12-11 by <beefyzee@...>

I've tried on 2 different computers to answer posts/conversations but the "reply" or "add to this conversation" buttons won't work for me.

All I can do is create new posts.

Initially I thought it was because I had not done the initiall email link I was given when I joined, so I did that but I still have the same problem.

Is everything OK with my account.

Thanks,

Keith.

Hi Keith,

You are definitely setup as a member of the group.
I'm not sure I've fixed it for you but make sure your reply email is "from:" the
correct email address -- the one you are signed up with.

As far as I can tell, the problem has nothing to do with your QuadtoneRIP list settings. It appears\ufffd\ufffd you are using a mail client (Yahoo mail) to submit new posts. Are you also using the same client to reply to posts? If so, your problem likely has to do with your Yahoo mail settings.

I don't use Yahoo mail and can't tell you how to diagnose the problem you're having. Perhaps someone else on this list is using Yahoo mail to reply to posts and can help you.

Ah ha, here we go.

Thanks for the input guys.

I've been using my account details for various other Yahoo groups and didn't have a problem, then all of a sudden they just wouldn't work.

I have no idea if it had anything to do with it but I've just formatted my hard drive, re-installed XP, etc, etc, and here I am again. The reply buttons are working for me now. I format my hard drive every so often and re-install everything, it was due for it again. All sorts of crap can gradually build up over time and 2 days of re-installing everything can beat many days of searching for answers to operating system problems.

Keith.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
