Epson 9890 + DataColor Spectrometer

Epson 9890 + DataColor Spectrometer

2014-08-14 by paraglide@...

Howdy, I have been using Quadtone RIP for years (Epson 4000 and 4880) and have just used the included profiles. Never made a profile! Now I have an Epson 9890 and it seems that there is a very limited selection of canned profiles, so I am going to have to make some.My primary question: I have a DataColor Spectrometer Spyder3 Print, which I assume will work for getting good densities that can be used for linearization? I assume just cut and paste from the text file?I will be creating profiles for Hahnemuhle FineArt Baryta and Canson Infinity Baryta. Any suggestions for profiling these types of papers? Is there anything to be aware in the profiling process when using a printer using Photo Black, Light Black and Light Light Black?I'm planning on just following, step-by-step, the user guide by Tom Moore. Is this the right place to start? Thanks!! Peter

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
