curve creator linearization tab: 21 versus 60 values

2014-10-22 by amog19@...

Hi Everybody,

I stumbled over the same thing that others already pointed at - but it seems without real answer: why are there 60 fields in the QTR curve creation linearization tab? All tutorials refer to 21 values coming from measuring the grey patches, not 60.

Is behind this GUI feature also the functionality that the GUI suggests to have? Or is this in preparation for some future QTR version?

Thanks and Regards,

Amin

You can put any number of linearization point in those fields in the windows QTRgui (as long as they are read from even evenly spaced 0, 5, 10, 15, ... or 0, 10, 20, ... densities). The number of input fields has more to do with how the table in the interface was created than any real functional value.

I could never figure out how the "paste values" button works in the windows gui, and always had to type them in by hand. I prefer to create and load a .txt file even when making curves on a windows machine since you can just paste in the density values from the spectro output data file into the "linearization="..." area.
