QTR & W10

I'm testing out my B&W workflow in W10, using the technical preview in a VB VM, while it's still possible to do so. I wish to understand whether it's going to be safe to migrate at some stage. Here are my results and questions.
The Measure Tool 5.0.10 works with my i1 Photo (V1), so that's better than recent MacOS upgrades. FWIW, Match3 software also runs happily and creates colour profiles.
QTR runs and prints. As mentioned in another thread, the curve creator has some issues. From what I can tell, it I create a new curve then that curve is saved, but the little spinning Windows wheel never stops spinning.
If I look in
C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\QuadToneRIP
The quad file is correctly created in the "QuadTone\PrinterModel" sub-folder, but the "Profile/PrinterModel" sub-folder isn't created and the qidf file is stored in the parent QuadToneRIP folder. This may explain why the little wheel doesn't stop spinning - the program doesn't find the file it just saved where it expects it to be.
I'd be interested in anyone else's experiences.
