Phantom secomd pages with print tool

Anyone else ave this Problem?
have a recurring problem when printing to my 7600.
I always get a paper out message on whatever paper i select but for instance a4.
I have used the scale and center buttons on my image.
Annoyingly even after deleting the mac print job amd restarting the pinter it still tries to print a little bit of the image on the next page as page two.
Im using the system default papers ie a4. There is no way to say print just one page. And the scale to page option does not seem to make a difference.
Any suggestions.. Its ruined quite a few sheets of expensive cut sheet papers..
