QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hi 

I was under the impression the preliminary 7800 curves advertised with
QTR 2.3.1 would be available as final curves in 2.3.2 (to be honest I
have no idea how I got this impression) - however this appears not to
be the case.  Further, I can't actually find curves for the 7800 in
the 2.3.1 release either.

Is there any update on the status of these curves - I'm specifically
intertested in curves for use with Hahnemuehle Photo Rag.

Any information appreciated!

I'm not sure if you are on a Mac or PC but there are a few curves for the 7800,
including Photo Rag.


On Mac:  See Profiles/4800-7800-9800-UC/   and run Install7800
    then use the printer named Quad7800

On PC:   Select Printer Model: Quad7800

I'm on PC, sorry, should have said.

I have chosen Quad7800 as the printer model but I'm not given any
curves to select in QTRGUI, nor can I actually see any on disk -
perhaps they were left out of the windows installer?

Jeremy,

So far the plan is to use the 4800 profiles for the 7800/9800.  They didn't get
copied over for the PC version.  It's easy to do.

Go to \Program Files\QuadToneRIP\Quadtone\Quad4800\
you should see many .quad files -- these are the profiles.
Select them all and right-click Copy them.

now go to \Program Files\QuadToneRIP\Quadtone\Quad7800\
Paste all the profiles here.  (Make folder if it doesn't exist).

Let us know how the profiles work.
