Checking on QTR workflow in 2.3.2

Checking on QTR workflow in 2.3.2

2005-11-25 by edrudolpho

Hi all.... I've downloaded 2.3.2 and am redoing some curtves and would like to check on
what folks think is a good workflow. I've created soft-proofs to use for the Print Space.
Now, what is the consensus on Source Space?

Are most folks converting to QTR Gray prior to image manipulation or are they staying in
Gamma 2.2 or 1.8?

Then, are you using your Gray profile for the Souce Space or are you using the Soft-Proof?

Thanks for all answers....

Ed

Hi Ed,

Use one of the standard gray spaces for the master file and editing. It's not
critical which you use but don't use a soft-proof space.

For printing you should use either one of the Generic QTR Gray Matte/Photo Paper
spaces or a custom ICC made with QTR Create ICC.

On the Mac you just select this as a Print Space. On a PC you must use
"Convert to Profile" and save it as a tiff file.
