Hi Ian

Was Having the same problem with the Ultrachrome excel sheets.
I sent an email to Richard and he sent me a new excel sheet. Apparently there is some issue of incompatibility, especially with update of office 365. His email response:

"Ijust updated to the newest version of Excel for macOS and am now getting the same problem with the scroll buttons.
These tools were developed in Office 2011 for mac and work flawlessly there. They were also working with the previous version of Office 2016 for mac but the newest update is causing all these problems. "
Try contacting him

The issue is specific to Office for Mac 2016 and seems to be related to clicking the scroll button inputs too quickly (clicks with 1/2 second between them are fine but 5 clicks in 1/2 second could cause it to hang up).

This problem started with some update to Excel that happened between the summer and fall of 2016. There was a major update to Excel 2016 in mid January that seemed to fix whatever was causing Excel to crash (at least in my testing), but I still think Excel for Mac 2011 is the best version, and all my tools run flawlessly with it.

I am providing people who have bought my tools and are still experiencing this crashing problem with the latest version of Office 2016 (an installer for Office 2011 that they can use with their license of Office 365. Again, this seems to only be the case for macOS, and is just an easy fix until I can get a better solution in place.

Thanks for understanding,
Richard Boutwell

Hi,

I also had the issue but with the Office subscription on Mac. A single click would send the scroll button / arrow all the way to the extreme value. Quick clicks made in an attempt to stop the scroll caused the same crash.

FYI and thanks,

Scott
