Any Help?

Hello Everyone.

Let me give you a little background.
First I am a photographer that does my own printing on an Epson 3800 since that printer first came out around 2006. At that time it was hooked up to my Mac G4 running MacOS10.4. with Quadtone rip 2.6. and still is.

Side Note: the printer was giving me problems in that at 3% spooling it would completely stop. Had my IT guy in and we then hooked up the 3800 printer to my newer Mac running Mojave. Came up with a pw sensor problem. I’m in the process of having a printer guy come and take a look at that. Hopefully it doesn’t mean a new printer. I will barely be able to afford to fix the darn thing.

So any way here is my problem. In 2006 I paid for the first QTR Rip. I also paid for the Newest QTR Rip recently. No big thing..!!

I was able to download ok. However when I went to install. A message came up that said I had NO PERMISSION because the download was not from an Apple App. I was not able to install.

Once I do get my printer working. Yes, I am an optimist, it will work again. I would need a workaround.

Does anyone have a workaround for this situation???

Thank you so much,

Try installing QTR again. When the error message pops up, click OK. (The error box will disappear.)

Now open System Preference / Security-and-Privacy / General (tab). Near the bottom you will see a message about QTR being blocked. Just click the “Open Anyway” button, and you will be allowed to install QTR.
