Epson P400 and QTR ?

Until I figure out whether I'm going to convert my Epson P400 to use as a dedicated b/w printer, probably with Piezography Pro, or get another printer, I'm wondering if there is any benefit for my b/w prints to using QTR?
Apparently the P400 is a re-incarnation of the R2000 and can use those profiles, although I'm not sure of that. It uses the Ultrachrome HG2 inks with only 1 black (either matte or photo depending on paper). No Greys. Would QTR expand the range of tones possible with a black ink only printer?
