Kirkland substitute?

Kirkland substitute?

2019-08-21 by goch@...

Costco in Canada is no longer selling the Kirkland glossy photo paper. It was my go-to general purpose glossy paper both for B&W and colour.

1) Has it been discontinued in the US as well?

2) What would you recommend as a substitute? Aside from having optical brighteners in it, it was as good as anything I've seen for a combination of consistency, d-max, response to carbon blacks, and general 'feel'. It seemed to do a good job with Epson ABW, too. And, of course, it was inexpensive and readily available if you lived near a Costco in North America.

I'm down to 124 sheets, so I need to get moving on finding a substitute. Since if *was* such a good paper, perhaps it appears under some other label...???

Thanks!!

This is the paper I use too. My Costco warehouse has not carried that for a long time. I have to buy it on line. I checked and it looks like it is still available.

Best

Yup, it’s there. And in 11x14 and 13x19 sizes, too, which were never brought to Canada!

Now I just have to figure out how to get ahold of it. Functionally I think Costco USA and Costco Canada are separate entities for their customers. (Costco doesn’t even have a store in Maine, the state next door, so I can’t drive over to shop. That was surprising.)

I’ve contacted Costco’s customer service, but I don’t hold out much hope.

Thanks to all.

No one has suggested an alternative, though. ...Preferably something I can get from B&H??? (B&H has excellent service for Canada, and free shipping on orders over $99. I can frequently get things faster from B&H than from stores in Toronto. I can’t recommend them highly enough.)
