Media street GQ ink, epson 2100, Ilford smooth pearl paper

2005-12-26 by jwb224retaw

Hi,

I am new to the forum and need help. I am using an Epson 2100 printer
with Media Street Generations Quad inks from a niagara supply and
either Ilford smooth pearl or Monochrome Arles 318g Matt paper (a
generic Hahnemhle). Can somebody please tell me a simple way to set up
the curves etc to achieve good results. I have tried various set ups
Quad 2100 GQ and Quad 2100-UT7 but the results are poor ( GQ = foggy as
if there is an almost white film covering the print; UT7 too dark).
Please help,

Jrgen

I have reread the User Guide and am as helpless as before. Can I print
out a test picture or chart using my inks and papers and somebody
would create the correct set of curves. What would it cost per paper
and is anbody willing to do it? I would want it for black and white
inks as well as for colour.

Thanks
