QTR-Quadtone RIP

Greetings All,

I am a commercial photographer specializing in Architecture and  
Corporate people on location based in the Pacific Northwest using a  
color managed workflow with Gretag EyeOne Display and am on 10.4.4.

I just happened upon a nearly new Epson Stylus Pro 4000 this past  
week.  My Durst enlarger and b/w darkroom has long since been  
dismantled (a couple of babies does not bode for hours in the  
darkroom) and I mostly deliver images to clients around the country  
via FTP for press and multiple repurposing.

And so, I am thrilled.  I have a darkroom again, don't have to lay  
out nearly the cash for the 4800 and for $900 am up and running with  
the latest Epson firm, drivers, util2, etc.  I have already printed  
one job for a board room display and am pleased with the Epson  
Premium Luster and Epsons latest driver.

I am however, interested in pushing the boundaries a bit more.  And  
research led me to QuadToneRIP.

I have installed QuadToneRIP (latest version) successfully.  I also  
ran the script for the Epson4000 profiles, again it said installed  
successfully.

My first question.  I don't see where soft-proofing in PSCS2 shows  
the resultant profiles.  How does one get profiles for the various  
settings one sees in the last Print Dialog uner QuadToneRIP dialog  
box.  The sepia, cool, warm iterations of different media.

Unless I am seeing things it appears in this piece about half way  
down the page.

Hi Doug,

There are only a couple generic printing ICC profiles provided.

The ICC making feature is really for customized soft-proofing and
printing.  You'd want to profile your personal selection of Tone 
Blending
and your particular printer.
