QPR, Epson 2400 and Epson inks

I have just converted from printing my B&W images with an Epson 1280, MIS inks and QPR to: an Epson 2400 and Epson inks. Is there a reason to use QPR with this system vs the Epson driver? Or, even, can it be done? Thank you.
