QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hi Guys.  I'm new here and new to RIPs, but I'm begging for help. :(

I'm trying to set up the software to print to a Epson 4000 that is on a small network using 
the Network Card on the back of my Epson.  It's one of the first nes shipped so they had 
no designation of pro versus non-pro and mine was purchased with the upgrade to the 
card.  I have no Colorburst RIP.

I have had SO>>>> many problems with this printer trying to get it to print right or at all.  
I'd really like to use the QuadTone RIP to see what the possibilities are but I am having 
trouble with this too.

I have installed the printers, and even tried connecting through USB.  If I try through USB, I 
get the QuadTone selection in the dialog, but I can' select curves where it says none.

When I try to install the curves, I get the terminal window with the following script:
