Hahnemuehle Fine Art Pearl with K7 inkset

Hahnemuehle Fine Art Pearl with K7 inkset

2006-06-25 by zisskar

I'm about to receive my first batch of K7 inkset together with the new
Hahnemuehle Fine Art Pearl paper. I'm working on an R800 printer.
Has anyone tried this combo before, and if not what do you suggest is
a good starting point in terms of media selection - resolution - curves?
I also have another question. I'm currently learning QTR from the free
version, I know that the paid shareware version gives you all the bug
fix updates. Does it also come with more preloaded canned curves?
Are there any other differences between the free and the shareware
version?
Thanks
Zissimos

Hi Zissimos,

From what I've heard this paper and the others like it are not
compatible with the K7 inks.

I tried to email you directly the other day but email at forthnet
bounced.

There is only one version. "Free" is just a trial period. Payment
entitles
you to free updates with new profiles as they come.

There are quite a few profiles for the R800 and NK7 inks -- 28 at last
count.
That's it unless piezography makes some more. All the profiles ought
to be used at 2880dpi.

Regards,
Roy
