Calibration target

Calibration target

2006-07-22 by Steven

Hello again,

being finally able to make some custon curves for both Silver Rag (it
is a shame that you can't buy this paper in the netherlands...if any
dutch reseller reads this: import this paper, it is so beautiful!) and
Innova PScotton i have just one question on which i can't find any
answer: After making the calibration target, i have to measure (or
see) on which step i can't see any more density change towards the end
of the steps. But which color do i have to look for? On the black line
and some coloured lines i see no significant change after 50 0r 60
percent. But on the light blacks the steps continious to increase in
density. So where do i have to look for? I have an Epson 2400.

thanks, Steven.

Sorry,
one more question...oeps....
After linearizing I witness a smooth but not real straight curve,
which is the purpose i thought of linearizing? But, when i measure the
stepwedge AFTER linearizing and measure this one and linearize again
then the curve is straight indeed. But this is not the right thing to
do is it?

Steven.
