Create Curves Error

Create Curves Error

2006-07-24 by rbehr2001

I just installed version 2.4.2 over 2.2. I had created a number of
curves for a custom ink set in the past. I'm now changing to a
standard ink set so I just want to linearize some existing curves.

I click "curve creation" > file open, I clear the linearization
values & click > file> save as (new name) then click "Create Curve".
I get the error message –

"Qdotgain did not return a valid curve at quadprofile.pl line 88
Curve Creation failed."

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software.
I'm running Windows XP home edition

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks
Bob

Hi Bob,

If you can send me the .qidf file that causes this I'll check it out.
It's likely an invalid value for one of the parameters.

Thanks for the response. I've resolved the problem by using QTR on a
different computer on my home network. It's working fine, in fact better
than the old arrangement. Computers are the funniest people.

Printer to replace Epson 890

2006-07-31 by R vd Ryst

My Epson 890, using UT2 inks and QTR, breathed its last.

I want to replace it with another Epson in A4/Letter format. (I will
upgrade to a R2400 when money comes available.)

Wants:
Windows 2000; carbon inks; matte paper; QTR; neutral to sepia prints
selectable via QTRgui.

I do not have a tool to measure patches, so profiles should preferably
be available, at least for EEM paper.

Suggestions please.

Thank you,
Reinier van der Ryst
