QTR-Quadtone RIP

I printed a photo that is really dark and not what I saw on my screen
... I just wish once I could try something and have it smell like a
rose instead of (you know what) 
Now I'm not disappointed I just got the first time trial blues and
would love to have some of you give me some tips ... I read the Adobe
Reader Guide and did exactly what it said but I'm confused about the
curves area I put in None in both boxes since there is no preview to
see what you do to the photo the photo that was in that box was just
what I wanted to print
