QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hello,

I have downloaded QuadtoneRip and am starting to play around with it. 
It looks like an amazing piece of software! 

However, my R800 has an issue with thick matte papers (like my 
favorite, Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Bright White 310gsm). 

The only way to make it print on this media (using the standard 
printer driver) is to check the "Thick paper and envelopes" option, 
which is in the Printer Settings -> Maintenance -> Printer and Option 
Information dialog box.  

When I do not check this box, the print head drags across the surface 
of the paper, causing scuffing and ink smearing.

Is there a setting in QuadtoneRip that provides the same functionality 
as the "thick paper and envelopes" setting?  I can't find it!

I would suggest that no software can write directly to the printer 
driver. It would need to have it's own driver to do that. 

You will have to make the changes separately. 

But I would like to see a button in QuadtoneRip which opens the 
driver software, (as in Qimage) to make the change.
